‘The Nutcracker on Ice’

The Nutcracker glides onto ice in a dazzling new production at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, lighting up the festive season. For the first time ever, The Grand Theatre is transformed into a shimmering rink as the internationally acclaimed Imperial Ice Stars bring their award-winning blend of Olympic-level skating and theatrical magic to the beloved holiday classic.

Set in early 1900s St. Petersburg, the story follows young Marie, who receives a magical Nutcracker doll on Christmas Eve. Her enchanted journey takes her through a sparkling world of toy soldiers, dancing sweets, and the elegant Sugar Plum Fairy –brought to life with breathtaking choreography and world-class ice dancing.

Based on E.T.A. Hoffmann’s original 1816 tale and the legendary ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Lev Ivanov, this timeless story has captivated generations. Now, director and theatre-on-ice pioneer Tony Mercer, together with Olympic gold medallist Evgeny Platov and World Champion Maxim Staviski, presents ‘The Nutcracker on Ice’ as an unforgettable spectacle.
